Research Camp

Where Adventure & Insights Converge

Imagine this: a week-long camp where kids get the best of both worlds – classic camp vibes and a daily dive into mind-expanding research studies. Our clients? They’re in for a treat as they get a front row seat to watch these kiddos tackle real-life research and design questions.

At Research Camp, we’re all about seeing things through the lens of children. Using participatory research methods, we’re on a mission to discover their ideas, feelings, and experiences to help our clients find the answers they seek.

Research Camp 101

Research Camp fosters an immersive research environment for our clients, providing them with a front row seat for focus groups, activity sessions, and in-depth interviews.

Video Offerings

Fluent Productions works closely with our research team to create companion videos that complement the insights we provide our clients when camp is over. Our director and his crew capture campers’ day-to-day activities, interviewing them individually and in roundtable discussions, and teaching them how to interview each other. We also craft topic-specific ethnographic documentaries about the hopes, needs, and challenges of a selected child.

Kid Reporter

Since kids love to get in on the action, we gave them the chance to interview each other, leveraging the rapport they established during research camp.

Deep Dive

Research camp provides opportunities to develop relationships with families, build trust, and work with them to capture their lives in relatable documentary films.

Roundtable

Roundtables are professional, multi-camera captures of focus-group discussions, either as edited highlights or in full.
