
Kelly Sheehan, PhD
Senior User Experience Researcher
Kelly is a Senior User Experience Researcher at Fluent. She brings deep knowledge of user experience research methodology and a passion for designing research that provides a deep understanding of users’ needs and motivations while driving product goals forward.
Kelly brings over 10 years of research experience using qualitative and quantitative methodologies in the edtech and tech industries. Prior to joining Fluent, Kelly completed her Postdoctoral training at Northwestern’s Center on Media and Human Development, conducting research on how children and adults use interactive technology. She was the Associate Director of User Research at Age of Learning, where she was the lead product researcher for the educational app ABCmouse. She also worked as a Staff UX Researcher at Meta, where she led research and worked closely with product teams to make Instagram safer for users. Kelly cares deeply about professional development mentoring and has served as a mentor for organizations like the Children’s Media Association.
Kelly has her B.A. in Psychology from Providence College and received her M.S. and Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Cognitive Psychology. She resides in Boston with her family.
