Sylvia is a Senior Researcher at Fluent. With expertise in developmental psychology, statistics, and experience conducting research with hundreds of young children and parents, Sylvia is passionate about evidence-based initiatives – particularly media interventions and resources – that support learning and wellbeing.
Prior to joining Fluent, Sylvia was a Senior Research Analyst at Sesame Workshop, where she was involved in the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research studies to inform the development, and assess the educational value, of media-based resources.
Sylvia earned her Ph.D. in psychology, with a concentration in lifespan cognitive neuroscience, from Georgetown University and graduated with honors from Cornell University. At Georgetown, she used behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to examine how young children learn from digital contexts.
