Olena created this drawing to illustrate the findings of our research on the impact of digital technology on family wellbeing and life. Digital technology can be both unifying and dividing for families; it serves to both connect and isolate. Parents and kids participating in our research admit that they are susceptible to digital diversion, to times spent “alone together.” But they also credit digital technology with enabling shared activities and engendering shared interests.
