Awareness, Attitudes, and Perceptions of Digital Learning Tools among School Administrators

About This Project

Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) is a company that offers a marketplace of educator-created learning content and tools for digital instruction. The company was founded by a teacher who discovered that his students learned better when he incorporated ideas, learning tools, and materials created by other teachers. Now, more than 7 million educators utilize the resources available on the TPT website, including 85% of PreK-12 teachers in U.S. classrooms.

As one of several brands in this space, TPT hired Fluent Research to survey K-12 school administrators’ awareness, attitudes and perceptions of digital educational materials, the companies that sell them, and budget considerations for those materials now and in the future.

Fluent conducted a blind, online survey among a national sample of school and district administrators in the US. All of the participants were involved in evaluating or purchasing instructional materials.

The research results revealed TPT’s brand positioning in the marketplace of educational materials providers, identified what administrators look for in educational materials, and highlighted TPT’s strengths and opportunities.  As a result, TPT was able to evaluate the impact of new products and marketing efforts, and meaningfully direct future product development and marketing campaigns.
