Aeliya Ahmed

Project Manager

Aeliya is a Project Manager responsible for guiding the operations side of qualitative research projects at Fluent Research. She is enthusiastic about streamlining research processes, and seeks to drive informed and equitable decision-making, especially as it relates to children and technology.

Aeliya has more than six years of experience across the non-profit, education, and healthcare industries, and has spent most of her career working with children. Prior to joining Fluent, she taught in a fifth grade classroom as an assistant teacher in New York City Public Schools through Americorps, working to bring more STEM resources to under-resourced schools. Aeliya also spent four years working at the only crisis nursery in Pittsburgh, where she provided care and resources to children and families in need of crisis-intervention support. As a seasoned project manager, Aeliya has worked on a number of qualitative research projects in  the technology, food and beverage, beauty, and non-profit sectors.

Aeliya graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in psychology and the other in philosophy, political science, and economics. Her undergraduate research focused on the effect of socioeconomic status and race on how young children learn.
